Exhaust too loud!!!!

Well I just got a ticket for my exhaust being too loud tonight. Cop was just being a ***** but....
I was just wondering if someone knows a muffler that looks kinda stock with good flow and next too no major noise?
My set-up is a JDM H22A with 2 1/2" pipes and a high flow carsound cat. The muffler I got is a knock off twin loop and it sucks!
I was looking at these mufflers and was wondering if anyone has heard them?

Or any good ideas without major cost please?

I had a polished flow master 40 series on my D15 civic.

was a little louder then stock at idle, but when you got on it hard, it was loud.

Some good ideas there. BTW I forgot to Say I need one that is universal and it needs a 2 1/2" inlet. So has anyone heard that Vibrant muffler? They try too say it's quiet but just would like too hear about it other than their word so I have a better idea?

i have this exact muffler on my car with a T1R midpipe (2.5"), its sounds nice and deep, but its pretty loud, specailly if you are stepping on it...i wouldn't recommend it if you want something quiet.

Those black mufflers look pretty nice, especially when you're trying to be stealthy about your car and it's mods.

My car has no muffler, just dumps right after the resonator. (2000 SiR) It my be quiet when just cruising around, but when I crack it...it sure barks. Have yet to get a ticket for noise though. But thats the good thing about living in the country.

i have some dc sports universal muffler and i haven't had a problem with the cops since i changed it. Although it still makes a nice sound if you feel like revving it up

Just go and see the Justice of Peace. Explain that you can't afford this ticket, your a student, have debt, blah blah blah.

He will lower the fine substantially or he might even throw the ticket out.

Good luck

a JP can't throw a ticket out... and they won't. just get it lowered and call it a day, unless u have time to kill, then set up a court date and play it out

Yes he can throw it out.

Why would he need a court date, there were no points charged.

I've been to the JP numerous times in the past, he can and will throw out the ticket if you convince him to.

Go to the JP, don't waste the court's time.

I would recommend Magnaflow 2.5" inlet/outlet muffler as a replacement. Decent quality and not too expensive.

Well I got the Vibrant muffler that I put the link for. It sounds great!! Nice low tone and not too loud. I also Have a Vibrant "Ultra Quiet Resonator" too put on too and just didn't get it done yet. Also My bran new Magnaflow Cat. Has fallen apart so I need too get a new on of them and put it on as well, so all and all it's nice now and gonna be even better when I get the rest of it done too!
So yeah that muffler is a A+++

I argued my way out of two tickets this summer for exhaust, the first time I showed the reciept and the form for m A'pexi that says it's street legal, and the best thing the cop could come up with is that it's illegal because it's too loud in his opinion. He just kept me there for like 15 minutes and just gave me a warning. The second time i was in my cousin's '77 camaro and managed to argue my way outta that one to. Don't cops have anything better to do thatn to pull us over for our exhausts?
