exhaust system

Hi I'm looking to change my exhaust system ASAP, i'm not much of a car tech but the piece directly after the muffler (i THINK the tech said a resonator?) has broken where it attaches to the muffler.. and apparently it's about to break midway on the same piece dangerously soon.. =[ I would like to replace the who bottom exhaust system and I found a set from andysautosport.com made by Spyder for 152 but it's shipped from california and ends up being about 240 with S&H.

I live near Yonge and Steeles and am willing to drive as far as this car will let me for a good price and nice set(preferably somewhat aftermarket i guess, but i just want a proper system)

Any suggestions would be great! THANKS!!

I personally would pick up a Type R midpipe and axle back from TorontoJDM or jdmengineland. Will run you 200ish with cat and it will be in mint condition with OEM quality. You might have to modify the collector on the midpipe but that's about it.

Are you looking for aftermarket/performance exhaust or just oem replacement system?

I would ultimately prefer an aftermarket/erformance exhaust but I have really shy on the money right now. Im looking to spend 250 TOPS for local sources because I can get a set from Spyder from Cali for 240 after S&H+taxes.

I wouldn't mind installing locations too or if anyone here cn personally do it/own garage

Price out an apexi WS2 cat-back system. Not sure how much they are, but good quality and great sound. Everyone who has it seems to love it.

^lol, sorry I didn't know how much they are. I just know they are good.

I built/fabricated my own full exhaust system, but all in still cost around $300. (resonator, muffler, piping and flanges...it adds up)

There are lots of custom exhaust shops around the GTA, many with really decent prices. I suggest you call around and see who can do what for you.

No, usually they supply generic resonators/mufflers/piping and literally piece together a system that fits your car. If you want you can supply the muffler of your choice and they will integrate it with the new exhaust system.

Like I said, Type R OEM exhaust. Larger diameter piping, OEM quality, perfect fitment, nice sound, and within your budget.

anyone have any opinions about the company DYNOMAX?
found a part on autopartsaway

Dynomax Exhaust System Kit
Part Number: 17401 Manufacturer: Dynomax

cheaper than the one i could get from the states(after S&H +taxes)
are they a reliable company?

Look on kijiji or TCC classifieds etc. and look for mufflers/full exhaust systems that will fit your car. There are tons of deals out there.

Kaval has a good suggestion. The oem type R exhaust is a good replacement and would require only a few adjustments to make it fit. Nothing a typical exhaust shop couldn't handle.

Dynomax is good from what I know/have heard. Might be on the loud side though. Their mufflers are similar to magna flow in design/sound.
