Exhaust Manifold/Header help needed.

Exhaust Manifold/Header help needed.
Hey,
i have a 1998 si/ex coupe and have recently discovered that my 1piece p.o.s. aluminum exhaust manifold has cracked. Now im new to the whole header concept but im wondering if I were to buy a header (DC makes 6 different ones for my car) would it be just a straight swap with the manifold? Also should i go ceramic/stainless steel. Mostly just wondering if there is anything else i need to take into account before i go ahead and spend 300+ dollars on one.
