cracked headers...

well just noticed today that my headers have a small crack starting from where the O2 sensor is....its not a big big crack where its ****** apart its just a crack but not ****** far apart...what u guys suggest? is it still ok for a bit longer or should i replace a.s.a.p?

i suggest you replace it asap (with a stock one or aftermarket will be your choice). this has been a common problem with 96-00 civics that were made in canada.

Yeah I suggest you replace it, instead of paying an exhaust shop 50$ to weld it up.

If its a stock header replace it theyre cheap anyways. if its after market take it off bring it to a local welding shop.

doesnt actually matter, I'd think its a waste of time if its accessable from the hoist weld it.

I believe the stock civic exhaust mani has a huge issue with cracking.
Mine was cracked on my d16 and my b16 and the wifes is on her d17
All the ones I have seen replaced were cracked as well. I think there was only about 2 or 3 out of ten that where fine.
Just buy a header... something decent

What motor do you have? If it's a Y7 then you'll have to get a cat as well if you decide to change. If it's not a Y7 then get an aftermarket one, but get a decent one or you'll run into the same problem again.
