Cleaning out T/B

Does anybody clean the build up out of the throttle body along with a tune up? or just here n there? I once cleaned out the throttle body out from my corolla... with rubbing alcohol and a microfiber... so much **** came out... but yea i was wondering if this really is beneficial in any way...

you should definatly clean it out. Use throttle body cleaner which you can buy for cheap at Canadian Tire. Spray it in use a tooth brush scfrub it, then spray it again and wipe with a clean cloth. This will give you a better idel and throttle response aswell will prevent any throttle sticking. The car might hesitate a bit after this service is done but once all the carbon and throttle cleaner is through the system it will run great.

I had this done not too long ago and my idle problems were gone !! although lately its been acting up a little bit but it is still 100 times better than before . I would also clean my IACV valve while you are at it

Donīt get scare if you have a hard time starting your car after you clean the TB , I had to step on the gas to be able to start mine

I find the best thing to do is remove the tb and iacv clean both, let them air dry and put then back them back on the car with new gaskets. I cleaned my iacv a few times but the idel was still not normal, then I did some poking around and decided and better change the gasket and my idel has been perfect ever since
