Cheap short ram Vs. Good one... difference?
i'mma a student with out a job and i want to get a short ram air intake wondering if its okay to buy a cheap one... ? or am i wasting my money or possibly making it worse then stock or worse

It's all a waste of money in the end, but we do it for fun and enjoyment. If you're a student, without a job, I am assuming that you're in school to make something of yourself to be able to afford nice things for fun and enjoyment, like a short-ram intake. See where I'm going with this? lol

As for my question i really ment it like if i were to buy a cheap one am i even getting any "bang" for my buck? or should i just save up for a more expensive one?

Best bang for your buck? Buy a drop in K&N air filter (for the stock airbox) and leave it like that. Will make the same power as a short ram, cost a fraction of a short ram, and you'll never have to buy another air filter for the life of the car. If you just want the WOOOO sound, remove the piping from the bottom of the stock airbox.
Take my advice as someone who has gone through all this. Leave it stock, save your money. A few years from now when you've learned more about cars and what modifications actually make significant differences, you'll have the knowledge and money to build something cool and practical.
Not trying to burst your bubble, just trying to be real.
For the record, a cheap short ram will make the same power as an expensive short ram. With the expensive ones, your just paying for the name. With the cheap ones, just replace the filter with a K&N and you're gold.
From my experience, even the cheap ones aren't worth it.
