CAI for B16A
i have a 92 JDM civic and wanted to install a cold air intake for it. the car has the B16A engine, i will be driving the car mostly in winter so what is the best type of Intake for this short or long?? or should i just keep the stuck?
also what brand is the best bucks for the money? any home made solutions for CAI??

Ractive short ram $75 from performance improvements. Best bang for buck.
It's 3" dia 6061 aluminum tubing with a washable/reusable K&N type cone filter.
I swaped the ractive filter for a Bpi velocity stack with a custom sized K&N cone. Showed considerable gains on the dyno and spent less money than if I bought a short ram injen, or AEM kit, which is basically the same kit as the ractive.

CAI are a waste of money for the minimal gains. Like MPR said just get a short ram. Then you dont have to worry as much about sucking up unwanted stuff. Research what happened to a couple of people on here when a crazy rain storm hit TO... they hit a puddle that was deeper then they thought and hydrolocked their engine

Honestly... I wouldn't believe all the crap u see on these forums.
Ex. Hydrolock this Hydrolock that.... BS!
It can happen... and Im not here to say it won't happen.... but.....odds are it WONT!
I've driven my car 4+ years every season.... even when we had the HUGE flood on the streets a few years back.... And NOTHING happend.... I wont bother explaing anything else on this regard.
On the other Note... CAI's are a waste of money.
I am selling a custom and tested "magic intake"
Will yield you more whp then any other intake guaranteed!
Please pm me for more info!

^ wtf are you talking about... there is a couple threads on here that show what have happened. of course its rare but you completely missed my point. Why bother risking something if the reward is not there? usually we compare risk vs reward and if there is only risk then what is the point?

i have dyno sheets to show that a SRI will make 5-7whp ACROSS THE BOARD (not just peak) WHP over a whale *****.
And those people who hydrolocked their engines drove through a puddle that was like 3-4 feet deep (it actually happened here in Hamilton on Centennial Parkway under the train bridge by home depot, a known bad spot for flooding in heavy rain), so you'd have to be an idiot to drive through a puddle that big, but hey, what can i say?
I had a CAI on my car for 2-3 years, drove it rain or shine and through the winter and nothing ever happened. Then I went to the dyno and made more power with a SRI.
Get the cheapest 3" short-ram intake you can find and get a good K&N or AEM filter and be done with it. Forget about spending $300 on a AEM CAI.
