^^Beat me to it.

It's "header" not "headers". Headers refers to more than one header, for example on a V8 engine with 2 banks of cylinders.

Inline 4 cylinder engines only need ONE header.

lol...can we please sticky this somewhere?

Also this should be in the exhaust section....prepare for thread move in 5...4...3...2...

As for which is the best....not sure. I have a jdm itr 4-1 header that I re-welded and ported which has a 2.5" collector. It works very well, can find em cheap. Paid $100 for mine. Good bang for your buck.

Well if your not planning on going vtec the 4-1 is probably your best bet as the B20 already has good tourqe the 4-1 helps out on the top end but the 4-2-1 headers are way better down low witch I'm shure you don't need

Use 4-2-1 header. Don't use 4-1 header. You will lose power on low rev.

4-2-1 have great top end, look at most of the expensive $1000+ headers, they're almost all 4-2-1 design.

4-1 is designed purely for top end, does it outperform a 4-2-1 in the top end? I highly doubt it, the 4-1 just has crappier low/midrange power than the 4-2-1.

4-1's also typically hang very very low which provides poor ground clearance.

Yep. My b16 with ported jdm itr 4-1 2.5" header definitely lost power below 3000. It's not until above 4500-5000 when you really notice the gains from a 4-1.
