Hi..just bought an ek with b20 vtec and it,has a straight 2.5" exhaust all the way back..now im looking for some advice on what stock exhaust with a cat I can use on,this engine/ek setup to pass emissions...must,be direct bolt on..it has sir header on it..

No it won't bolt right up. the y7 exhaust has different cat locations and the y8 exhaust has a smaller diameter cat. flange. You'd need slight exhaust work done to downpipe-cat flange.

BTW a stock exhaust will not make it pass emissions.

If stock exhaust doesnt pass emissions then,what? My other option is to weld an aftermarket cat and factory muffler to this system...how far should the cat be from the header downpipe?in inches...and I have two length options for the cat...12"or14"..which one is more suitable?thanks for the replies
