Question '02 SiR 3Dr

Hello all. I just joined the TCC so I am probably one of the newest guys here.
I drive a 2002 Civic SiR, 3Dr Hatch. Everyone is talking all these engine codes and such. Can someone tell me where to find mine? Also I have installed a K&N Air Filter and am now thinking cold air intake. Is there one in particular that I should use for this model? What should I look for, and what should I avoid?
Thanks in advance for your help on my first of many (I am sure) questions.
Bill

As for CAI's, they're not worth the price. You'd get negliable pwr gains (if any). If you do want to get one for the noise, then just get an ebay one for $20-40. All it is, is a pipe with a bung, a hole, and a filter on the end. If you don't care for the added noise. then your K&N will do just fine.

Also, i highly suggest you do search these forums (search button), there's a wealth of info on here already!!!

Welcome btw =)

but what K20 is it?^^ it's the k20a3. this matters for some stuff, and the k20 in a RSX type s is different then a SIR. nice car none the less if you do it right though. also K's respond WAY better to simple bolt on's like a CAI then d's and b's do because the computer is smarter basically. if you want real gains though your gonna need to do more then I/H/E to notice and real performance gains, you'll get "better" sound outta it though. personally I would buy the needed RSX base 5 spd gears and do the conversion to your tranny to make it into a 6 spd that would actually have closer gear ratio's then the type s and still a good highway gear. if you do it right you could get that for less then the price of a type s tranny. I think the fact that you r looking into a CAI though you will be doin things like that way down the road id ever. keep it in mind if you ever need to change/drop the tranny though. it's a sweet mod for your car.

Welcome to the forum.
Some people are very knowledgable on this forum and some aren't. Search button is your friend but if you can't find any info, I'm sure you'll get your answer if you post a new question.
Also, about the intake, if I was you, I would get a short ram over CAI. Maybe its just me, but I'm always paranoid of hydrolocking with cai.

Oh and let's see some pics!

Enjoy the forum.
