ok...a couple months ago i swapped a zc sohc into my 88 hatch...just recently somone told me that i can install vtec into it because my zc is a jdm 92-96 generation...he also showed me where the vtec solonoid would be mounted onto the head and his whole story sounds believable BUT...i no that the zc and the d16z6 are very fimialiar but on my block it says zc...is this possible to run vtec or is my friend wrong? and also what exactly would i need to equip my motor with vtec if its possible to do it? thanks

you can put a sohc vtec head on the sohc zc engine to make what is known as a mini-me setup

dohc zc cannot have this done
