ZC Information?
I recently had a low-cost swap done on my winter beater. I got a ZC motor... Trying to find some information on the engine.
- Black valve cover - 94 date stamped near the header - ZC stamped on the block Most information I find on this motor is from 88-91, but nothing for a 94... I believe it's a '4th generation' ZC. It was swapped into my 94 CX hatch... Can anyone shed some light? Specifications, etc? |
SOHC or DOHC its probly the black top dohc obd 1 motor something like 135 hp and 106tq ?
|
and 119ish hp 106 tq roughly for the sohc vtec something like that
|
Not bad... Certainly a nice upgrade for a stock CX.
Edit: Never mind, google images showed me what I needed to know. ;) Guess it'll be obvious once I see the engine. |
www.thezcr.com
They specialize in ZCs and definitely will have all the information you could dream off for your engine. Your's is probably the 4th gen ZCs since they bolt in to EGs. is it dual over head cams or single? DOHC ZC Specs. 1.6L (1590 cc) DOHC 130-135 hp @ 6800 rpm Bore 75.0 Stroke 90.0 C.R. 9.5:1 I can find no evidence of it being any higher than this. 91 octane. Some have reported no problems with 87, but the specified gas is 95 and/or 96 RON, which is equal to 91-92 'pump octane' available in the US. |
This one is the SOHC unfortunately... Cheap swap :)
It's pretty peppy compared to my old CX tho. What are the specs on the SOHC? Thanks for the site though... Bookmarked ;) |
sohc vtec or non vtec?
|
Doesn't say vtec on the valve cover or anything... Guess I'll have to look for that solonoid... But I don't think it's vtec.
|
non vtec im pretty sure is like the d15b7 and vtec is like the d16z6 roughly the same (the engine code is differnt for the ZC as it is zc lol
|
u'd have to search taht site to get more info cj.
