well this is how the story goes i have installed a ZC DOHC in my CRX i have rewired my dx to fit the zc and i have gotten the engine to sit and idle amazing BUT... once i apply pressure and try to drive it .. the main relay begins to go nuts and ticks like crazy then the check engine light comes on then it will stall if you don't throw the clutch in but also its not giving me any codes then once the clutch is pushed in the check engine light goes out and no code is given ....now i drove the car to a shop in like 2nd gear around 2500 rpms if it goes around 2000 the main relaywill begin to tick if you go above that it will begin to tick so iam not sure what this could be could it be a bad wire some where could it be a bad ground , could it be the engine???

Another question does the main relay have to be grounded and does the ECU have to be grounded??

i had a problem like that and it ended up to be the ground on the thermostat housing i ran a jumper cable from the black wire coming out of the relay to a ground and it stoped theni looked for bad grounds on the car and it was the thermostat housing and block ground from battery

Ya i ended up finding out what it was it was a bad ground on the back of the engine what a bitch to find the guy at the shop didn't even no what it was so i had to find it myself
