zc distributor

Just bought a distributor for my ZC and was wondering if anyone could tell me what indicates if a dizzy is in good condition or on its way out? For example, how much resistance should there be on the shaft when I spin it by hand...any input would be great and thanks in advance.

the shaft should have some play regardless.

when you spin the rotor, you should be able to feel it kinda clicking into spots, like slots, but should move very easily, take off the cap, and make sure you dont see any "redhairs" tiny red wires they are the windings..

btw, its the ignitor that usually goes in them, well in my cases..
