zc clutch?

zc clutch?

can i use a regular D16 clutch for 4th gens in a zc tranny? please help!

You COULD use it, but the d16 clutch wasn't exactly designed to handle the extra power of the ZC(I think its something like an extra 25% increase)
You should upgrade man...

yep the d16's clutches work in a zc tranny, you just need one that corresponds with the year of the tranny/motor. What year is the tranny? The 88 clutch has 21 splines on it and the 89-91 clutches have 20 splines so if u have an 88 tranny the only clutch that can fit on the input shaft is one from an 88. Check the year out b/c not all 88-91 clutches are the same size in dimension. The 88 is 190 mm in diameter, the 89 is 200 mm and the 90-91 are the same with 212 mm so if you get the wrong one then your pressure plate won't line up to your flywheel.
Silvercrx you won't lose 25% in power if you swap a zc disk with a d series disk b/c they are exactly the same.
