Z6 swap

I have an 89 si civic that runs good and a D16 Z6 motor sittin in my garage i need to know how i can put the motor in my car using stock wiring and stock intake off the 89 or should i just swap heads if i should just swap heads i need pictures of what people do with the distributer to make the OBD0 fit the Z6 head

Thanks your help with be apreciated

if u switch your heads with the old si one, u will not have VTEC. To use the old wiring with the new dizzy i think u will need to cut the old dizzys connector off and solder that onto the new dizzy off the Z6. Not too sure about the other sensors though

Search it on google or Honda Tech man, but I believe to do it you do use your existing intake manifold and sensors if you wanna stay OBD-0.

You can use the whole motor including the z6 intake.

Use your old injectors

Extend the harness wires for the fan switch to the new postion on the thermostat

You can use your old distributor but you have to slot the mounting ears...you can do that or I can do that for you if you want.

Does anyone know if this is true i have been told that the Z6 intake has different sensors/conection setup the the A6 harness...
I am kind of just interested in using the the Z6 block Z6 head A6 dizzy A6 harness and OBD0 ecu i have looked on google and there is no info on using the block unless u do a complete P28 conversion which not willing to do

I have decided to go along with the full D16Z6 motor swap staying with the OBD 0 ecu and harness but using the 89 intake insted of the 93 i check out the wiring and plugs it will all work im sure of it lol famous last words. I will be doin this in a month or so. So if anyone wants to send pics of what they had to do to there distributor that would be awsome ill fill everyone in when i have it done thanks

Z6 manifold is a better manifold, do you have a digi cam? Then take pics of the plugs and post em up and we can see if we can match everything up.
