Y7 To Y8 IM

i kno it has been discussed a lot, but i cant seem to find a proper DIY i found on on clubcivic but the pictures are gone..if any1 knows where i can find a decent DIY it would be much appreciated

also after talkin to a mechanic about it, he said it would conflictct with the ECU because the ECU is programmed to work with the Y7 manifold...this guy isnt my mechanic, jus sum guy in a shop i went into...but could he be right?

thx

If you are just doing the IM swap, get a Y8 Auto IM, that will have the proper idle valve on it and you can use your Y7 ECU.

If you switch to the P2P/P28 ECU, MT, then you can use the MT IM, but you'll throw a CEL for vtec, unless you swap the head for the y8 head.
