Just got my Totem traction bars from performance improvments today and they work amazing!!!, best $400 I ever spent, no more wheel hop and the thing hooks like champ now (NO MORE WHEEL HOP). Just thought I would share with others, a must have for a car with a swap!!!

are these like the Z10 radius bars that stop the lower control arm from deflecting under load?

Z10 is no longer king of the hill... Jim Fab bars are apparently better by design - geometry-wise AND clearance-wise.

your front lower control arms are hooked up to those dog-bone looking things at the bottom of the photo, and the front bar "hooks up" to under the tow hooks which is essentially your "frame"

so those bars make the front lca's stiffer?? but dont hte lca's move up and down with suspension?? so wouldn't that make a harsh ride then?

Note the swivel (sp?) fittings at each end - enough movement up and down and NO movement back and forth

here are some pics I found on honda-tech

they work great at getting rid of wheel hop, great for the dollar. Sure they are $400 but it saves your transmisson and shafts from breaking, and I already broke my diff once because of to much wheel hop. AMAZING!!! Traction

what radius bars are for is to stop front to back movement of the lower control arm....

I know some guys that are designing some traction bars for themselves....

Is this implying that if you already have urethane motor mounts this bar is redundant? I have a bi16 ef and have never noticed wheel hop... is this because i don't "drop the clutch" or because of my place racing mounts?

the bar is good for handling/launching. anything you do to the car to make suspension components better improves 60 foots and turning
