if you want more punch don't get a b16. You will only notice a little difference over a ZC and it's all in the top end. Since i know you will be doing the labour yourself i'd say get a gsr for sure. A gsr would rock ur little hatch. GSR's have way more bottom end then b16's.

go big or stay home...lol, swap a h22 monster in that and you will be good to go! stay away from the useless b16 I bet ur ZC can run with b16 hatches no problem cuz I know my d16a6 keeps up quite nice for lackin 60hp...like I can run a 15.8 1/4 in my car and a b16 4th gen maybe runs a low 15...not worth the money to me

a CR-Vtec would be sweet b20 block, b16 head type r tranny w/lsd noice!!!!

or just turbo the zc and be happy

you can't get a type R for $3500. But if you are willing to spend the money i'd say type R all the way....they have a little less torque then the H22 but H22's add quite a bit of weight to the front end of your already nose heavy, understeer happy car.

good luck swapping an h22 into an ef without bashing around ur engine bay, id go b16 because u can get a b16a1 for like 1500 bucks if u know the right shop to go to especially if your doing the labour urself do not pay more then 2000 for a b16a1!!!!!!!

Good luck finding a b16a1 EurDM it think.

B16A JDM Sure it's ok. 160HP little hamster for the bottom end

I would big or stay home. H22 would be nice.
B18c5 ITR 195hp would be nice also, but $$$$$
B18C? GSR 170hp ish (??) a little bit cheaper

Turbo your ZC.. Well 130hp stock running 8psi would set you around the 190hp mark. Not bad. You can do a junkyard turbo for around the price of a b16a with install.

www.homemadeturbo.com

Honestly your posts are hard to read. Learn to at least type correct english. :P

Jdm gsr (b18c)... is the best bang for the buck motor.

H22 in an EF is very hard and probably not doable for $3500.

B16 is useless.. It'll barely pull on a good condition ZC..

Turbo seems like the ideal solution, definitely the best bang for buck, BUT, it will be hard to build, tune, and most likely will blow your motor within a year or so. IF not blow, then burn a lot of oil.

I vote B18B or GSR, but we're not here to pick out an engine for you.
