Wiring Harness help CX to B-series Vtec

I have a 93 CX and I am going to be swaping in a OBDII B-series Vtec motor in it. I was wondering if anyone has a wiring diamgram for , and any pointers for doing it nice and clean.

also, if someone (with some experience) would be willing to modify mine for some $$$ please pm me.

get a obd2-1 converter harness...saves all the wiring hassles

can I use my OBD-I wiring harness, and just add wires for Vtec.. etc? or do I have to use an OBDII harness?

If your gonna go OBD1 i believe u just have to re-pin the dist. swap injectors, and change a few other things and it should all be plug and play.

^^^ thanks scarlem, does anyone have a write up on it? i cant find any on the net

i would ask scott-93hbsi as he knows more than most people do. Also i think u can just use a teg engine harness aswell but dont quote me on that

Yes, you can use the integra wiring harness in the civic, or you can modify your Civic harness to work on the OBD2 B-series.

Connectors that have to be changed are:
-Injectors clips
-Distributor connections
-Alternator control
-Purge valve
-Add vtec wires.

Your plug and play alternative is an OBD2 GSR or ITR harness. Then all you need to do is wire in vtec from the harness to the ECU. If you need an ITR harness, I think I have one - PM me. Or lemme know if you need your stock harness converted.

Go obd1
you will be able to do more modifications to your car and its easier on the emissions.-- Mind you the emision for these cars is getting a little out of hand- 675 no- its getting really low- you really have to have your timing down to pass. In jan 05 - they lowered it from 1000 to 675
keep your stock computer for that purpose- you are going to need a new computer for your car anyways. Buy one of the guys here chipped and ready for vtec. If you are going to be going to a obd2 for some reason you will need to wire more sensors in your car.

WTF??

Heres what you do.

Run it Obd1.. Much much easier. Ignore the fact that the motor is obd2. you need no aditional parts.

The only time you need different parts is obd0-1 or vice versa..

Obd1 and obd2 sensors are the same.. just obd2 uses more.

Simply hook up all the sensors on the obd2 motor that were used on the obd1 motor, if theres extra dont worry. There obd2 specific, just leave them alone.

The best way is to use all the clips from your obd2 engine harness and put them in their corespoding place on the obd1 harness (many are the same) and add a few wires for vtec. Converting your obd1 harnesses is best. Easiest and cleanest. And you will have to add some pins in your ECU... There is a write up on Hondatech.

Use your old ECU, its a p28 chip it. I have good basemaps for all applications
