I'm looking to get some winter tires for my 06 Civic Coupe DX-G.

I'm torn between the Goodyears and the Michelins. I do mainly city driving, with the occasional highway trips. I'd also like some winter rims. I don't require anything fancy and definitely not expensive, just want to be safe on the road. I've heard horror stories about Canadian Tire, so was thinking of buying the tires elsewhere and the rims from my dealer?!

Any suggestions/experience?

tires23.com they're our affiliate, and have great prices on winter tires and rims...

IMO unless you want to waste your cash i'd stay away from goodyears and michelins for winter tires.... they're over priced for the performance you get from them...

i'm going with the hankook w300's for my TSX this yr, they've got really good dry traction (for the city driving where snow gets plowed the same day) and amazing snow/ice traction too....

but if you're set on those two brands then by all means...

also you can get the steelies from your dealer, but you can also get them just from a tire shop anyways...
