winter tire ride height

hey guys im trying to figure something out and im having a hard time visualizing it when i put my 14 inch winter tires that are 75 series and replace my 16 inch rims which are 40 series will the ride height of my car drop or raise or be the same once i put the winters on?

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Insert the dimensions of your tires to compare them. 75 might be too tall. The OEM size is 185/65/14.

maybe u misunderstood the question right now i have on 205/40/16 tires once i put my winter tires on 175/70/13 will my ride height change?

Nope, every 10 mm you reduce in width you compensate for in tire height.

so from a 205.40.16, to a 195.50.15 to a 185.60.14 to a 175.70.13

no ride height change

so are they 13" or 14" cuz the 14" with 75 sidewalls the ride height will change

imported_italstallion 24-Oct-2005 01:10 PM

Learn how to use the tire calculator. It works wonders, my friend.

aren't you running hubs all summer anyways?

DumbasSi 24-Oct-2005 10:50 PM

If you use the tire calculator like I suggested, you'll see tat your 13's and your 16's are almost exactly the same over diameter and height so your drop should be exactly the same to within a few millimeters.
