will these rub?

I just picked up a set of 17" rims with 205/40 17 tires. My question is when i go to put them on in the spring, how low will i be able to go with my coil overs. Or can i lower at all without rubbing?

they should be like 17 x 7 with a 43mm offset or something like that. What kind of rims? You will more than likely rub on hard cornering but it shouldnt be too bad. you can remove the wheel well lining and you shouldnt have a rubbing problem.

I personally woulda gone with 16's on a 5th gen coupe but to each his own

width of wheel in mm / 2 = your centerline.

measure from the centerline to the hub face and that is your offset.

not measured right... 50 offset seems way off. that would tuck the wheels right into the wheelwells. you want a 38-42 mm offset. the higher the number (actually the numbers are negative... so the higher the absolute number) the closer in towards teh center of the car the wheel is gonna be.

Simple questions - what is the make of the rim? Did you buy them used? What were they on before? This will help you in finding out what the offset was.

make is Eagle Alloy 17x7"series 160. I did buy them used but im not sure what they were on b4. Im really not gonna worry bout it till spring, when i can actully fit them on and adjust my coilovers down as far as theill go without rubbing. I was just curious to see what peoples thoughts were
