Will this SRI fit 97 Acura EL?

Just got my 1997 Acura EL. Want to do stuff on it sooo bad. Was checking out ebay and saw these two things just wondering if anybody here knows if they'll fit my car?

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1

http://cgi.ebay.ca/Honda-Civic-Accor...QQcmdZViewItem

I dont like the stock shifter **** and I dunno any good ones.. recommendations?

I kno my car is exactly the same as a 97 Si except the front end but i just wanted to make sure with you guys first before i buy it.

Plus anyone have a DIY for these two things?? i'm a pretty big car newb.

Thanks!

you have a d16y8 engine.

By the look of that bend it looks like it's for a y7. So it won't fit. But I may be wrong about the bend. I know mine wasn't that curved and I have a y8.

If you search hard enough you'll find a DIY. If not, I'm sure someone on the boards lives in your area and would be willing to give you a hand. If your near Oakville, I'll install it for you, it's simple.

Engine is D16Y8 as stated above and the bend is different between D16Y8 and D16Y7. You need 96-00 canadian civic SI, or us Civic EX intake.

Shift ****, whatever you like. DC Sports and skunk2 make nice pieces, there are Momo, Sparco and about 100,000 more. its all personal preferance.

oh and the EL is based on 96-98 civic (lips, etc) however 96-00 civic parts will work for suspension, brakes, engine, interior)

clubel.ca is EL devoted
rear is different, front is different, EL has 13mm rear sway bar stock (Civic SIR has this) but generally speaking, the EL will accept anything EK civic will accept, and some things a 94-01 Integra will accept

when you're looking at shift *****, you should know that some of them fit like crap, and remember metal ones can get hot as hell in the summer, and freeeezing cold in the winter. for that reason i prefer the leather ones. just my opinion though, and i made my own adapter at work to fit the shift **** to my car.

oh, and another tip. A shift **** will not line up with the boot, you have to have something hold the boot up if you want it to touch the bottom of the shift **** like stock.

I used a 1/2" long piece of rubber hose under the boot. Its not visable, its not moving at all and holds the boot right up to the ****.

and yes, aluminum gets cold during the winter (damn DC Sports! i drive with a glove on my right hand) and hot for the first few minutes of the summer. so leather or other metal besides aluminum (which heats up and gets cold very fast) will help this.

The picture he provided will fit an EL. The Y7 SRI loops up then down because the intake throttle points up as the y8 points to the side.

the auction states "It will fit the 1996-1998 Honda Civic DX/CX/LX" right in the auction so D16Y7 only, unless auction is wrong...which wouldn't surprise me.

The intake tube for D16Y8 is a more gradual bend is it not? and sharp bend for D16Y7 because it has to go down?

MPH on an EL...something is very wrong there, EL is canadian only and was never sold in the USA. Something is wrong, the guage cluster should be orange backed not the blue of a civic.
