Will my intake work? D16z6 to a B18b

I'm swapping a B18b and I would like to know if I can use my CAI from my 5gen. I want to weld my BOV to my intake but I haven't swapped the motor yet. Waiting for clutch, flywheel and starter to complete.
I would hate to weld on the BOV and find out that I have to purchase an Integra intake! :fustrated

So if anyone wants to help the Ugly Bastard

Hmmm...what did you have in to begin with, a VTEC or non-VTEC engine. Cuz it depends. Basically, you'll be able to modify the Civic CAI to fit, but I gotta ask?? Why a CAI with a BOV?? If going turbo, the filter will mount to the turbo, then run to intercooler piping, the from the intercooler to the t/b, which means unless you plan to run the CAI pipe to the i/c outlet... your plan is no good.

I've seen many custom turbo setups that use CAI as charge piping from the I/C to the TB. In my opinion it looks a lot better than steel with a few lenths welded together.

The being said there also needs to be some consideration given to the strenth of some CAI piping and whether or not it can handle the pressure of boosted air. I persoanlly think it is fine because some CAI don't have a seam which make the "circle" very strong. Just a consideration

Have fun Jamie.

Mah bad... you're not in the perf/susp forum much, so I don't know exactly how much you know. Ya, it's a good idea, but I don't know how big an IC you're running, or where the piping is gonna terminate. Just don't compromise your IC plumbing for the sake of using the CAI pipe, rather use a smaller IC and smoother bends for the least pressure drop. Yeah, yeah...I know you know cuz your car is so fiiiiine, just thought I'd remind you See for me...nothing shiny goes under the hood...all aluminium and flat black ...
