Hey guys, can I use the z6 flywheel on a y8 tranny?

Yup any d series flywheel 88-2000 is interchangeable!

Oh, perfect, so should I assume the same for cluthes, and pressure plates? Or are those different?

and according to ef9shawn you can use a d-series flywheel on a b-series...
Ask him, appearantly he had a d-series flywheel on his b16.

but hydo and cable clutch are different and i thnk the flywheels are to

yeh man it will work... did this in the reverse order y8 flywheel --> z6 no problems

Different, the contact surface for 88 are 190mm, 89 are 200mm and 90 to present are 212mm. More info can be found @ http://thenew.gamesbbs.com/~dmoore/tranny.htm
