i dont see y not ,,bigger rims ,,smaller tire sidewalls,,i think thats how it goes,,

rjngo 05-Mar-2006 11:42 PM

too heavy man...just stick with 16-17 range

imported_SaYjAiBaO 05-Mar-2006 11:52 PM

i wouldn't even go higher than 16s on the older civics. you'll have to run some crazy low profile that will be crazy bumpy. 25lbs is just the rim weight. the tires weigh quite a bit too so not only will you be slower, but your car will also eat more gas.

imported_JDMman 06-Mar-2006 12:41 AM

if he wanted to go fast it would be obvious that he wouldn't want 18s... you don't get 18's on a civic unless you wanna be pimp and thats it,... so if thats what your looking for.. go for it.. if it fits.... if you wanna keep the speed go down.. i personaly think 16s look perfect on egs.. 17s aren't bad ither but depends on the rims...

I think 18's might look too big for an EG. 25lbs is pretty heavy for a 100 hp car. The tires to fit those will also weigh alot.

imported_hdave 06-Mar-2006 08:24 AM

it'll fit thats for sure
but i also wouldnt reccomend it.
exactly as dumbassi said, 25lbs is A LOT for a 100hp car

imported_bevboyy 06-Mar-2006 08:45 AM

Not only the weight issue when running 18's but the rubber cost plus you will be slower out the hole compared to running 16's due to the increased amount of rotating mass...

16's max bro..

maca 06-Mar-2006 11:51 AM

really? you dont even think i should put 17's on my car, what if 16's look too small.

Nova_Dust 06-Mar-2006 12:18 PM

If you want wheels that look big, then why not.

25lb + tire that could range up to 15lb each. You are looking at at least 40lb per wheel. But obviously, performance isn't your concern.

imported_hdave 06-Mar-2006 01:07 PM

u can do 17s no problem, its just his opinion that 16 max (he is talking about being practical and i agree with him, 16" is the largest practical wheel u should go with)

maca 06-Mar-2006 01:38 PM

does anyone have any pictures of their civics with 16" wheels and your car is lowered? i just wanna see what it looks like.
