Im wondering if a stock cat from a 95 CX will fit a 98 DX ???

probably i got a 91 cat on my 95 ,its only temperary till pass e-test

nope!

Your stock cat is built into the exhaust manifold, and the '95 CX is meant for under your car between the front pipe and center pipe. As well, the '95 CX has no bung for the 2ndary 02 sensor like your stock cat, does.

BTW why do you need a new converter? DOes work anymore? Cracked? Put a header on now and have no converter anymore? <lol>

ya thats right i forgot the newer civics have the cat right after the manifold,sorry
