Will 96-00 Gabriel Front Struts on fit EG Civic?
There is a set on Ebay I'm thinking about buy.
Will 96-00 Gabriel Front Struts on fit EG Civic?
I've heard that the stock 96-00 struts will fit with a little bit of grinding.
Is this the case with Gabriel Struts?

yep
been discussed a bunch of times
you will loose the brake line holder in the front though, because EK's don't have them attached to the strut body
and the rear you need to grind down the bushing on either side to allow the narrower fork to fit over the lca, or press in EK lca bushings (what i did)

Is losing the brake line holders in the front ok? Can I do without them?

well, shocks generally are the 'same' for 92-00 Civics... my H&R coilovers are the same part number for 92-00 Civics for example. But... Gabriel... that's just ... its Midas/Meineke quality shocks.

I had no idea...
Really? Gabriel shocks are really that bad?
I had no idea.
Thanks for the heads up.
There was a cheap set on Ebay that seemed like a good deal. Okay, I'll just pay a little bit more for OEM struts then.

On a side note....rear shocks are different as the mounting fork is bigger on the EK than the EG. But you can buy spacers for them to use on either setup.

the other way around jc...
EG have a wider footprint, thats why they can fit on EK LCA fine, but need washers to fill the space...
EK are more narrow so you need to trim the EG LCA or put in new bushings.
