where should i route my dump tube?

should i run it straight into the dp as shown if pic #1 (easier to fab) OR
should i run it down stream a bit with a pipe bending downward off the wg and joining back into the dp just before the oil pan as shown in pic #2 (more work better flow?)
i need to figure this out real soon as i plan on welding up the dp this weekend.

disclaimer:
this is a question for a problem i have and would like people's opinions on solving. this thread is in no way an advertisement of any kind.

If you planning on making some bigger HP numbers i would definately move it down stream and merge it back in smoothly. If you're only shooting for 200hp, then just do it the quick and easy way.

yeah, i'm going with option #2 now that i've given it some though. the merge angle should be gradual to help with flow. i'd rather do it right the first time.

You don't seem like the type of person that wants to take the easy way out. And thats why your car is as nice as it is.
Have you got any furthur with the manifold?

mani is done basically, just need to finish the wg pipe. the dp is all tacked together and i'll backpurge that tomorrow.... look for a writeup in the diy forum soon. i'll have to add the dump tube probably monday or tuesday. tomorrow i'm also going to finish the intake pipe for the turbo which will go into the d/s fender. then it is just add some support braces for the turbo, relocate my oil cooler, put the interior back in and i'm ready for you to tune!
