Where can I get a rear disc swap for cheap for my 03 civic?

I currently have rear drum brakes.

I'm asking because I cannot find any rear drum replacements that will give better braking.

So Im willing to get brake discs in the rear, so that I can put on performance pads + lines.

Where can I get a rear disc swap for cheap for my 03 civic?

Why not just upgrade your front brkaes? They do most of the braking anyway. There is a kit available for the 01-05 Civics from FastBrakes that uses ITR calipers and rotors.

If not, try searching the classifieds for an EP3 rear disk swap.

i'd have to agree with dumbassi, the rear disc conversion is not worth the effort for better braking. just upgrade your fronts if you want better braking... they do most of the work.

Is there a way to adjust the strength in the rear drums?

Everytime I attempt to lock up the rear drums, they overheat and lose most of their stopping power.

You might be able to use the rear disk assembly from a 1.7 EL.

What kind of braking are you doing? Solo passes in reverse?

I would just make sure my drums are adjusted and upgrade the fronts like said. With that combination you will be satisified.

Yeah, for its intended purpose as a parking park. Not as a drifter.

70/30 Distribution! really? I agree that the front definitely has the stronger brake bias.

Oh Yes I use my handbrake to slide DumbasSi ! I use it almost everytime I'm understeering, which is at every turn. Lol *roll eyes*

Anyways, I'll take the advice from everyone about the discs, and pads.

Thanks & have fun this winter!
