well i am looking for a good place to get some work done to my engine i am looking for a place to get my rods shot peened to make them stronger and i would like to get my crank balanced and micro polished too..

anyone know a good shop that can do this?

What are your plans for your motor? Your stock rods are fine, but if you're gonna spend the cash to beef them up, you might as well buy an aftermarket rod.

There's so many other things you can spend on your car instead of the crank. Save your moula.

ya what are your plans if it is jsut a mild all motor setup or a mild fi setup than you should be fine.....allmotor I'd say throw soem ctr pistons in the mix and fi I'd say get some cheap srp pistons to lower compression. b16 rods are fairly strong in comparison to d series and what not.....

mild n/a set up.
just talking to a buddy and he said dont do CTR he said just shave head i would save money doing it that way..

i thought i read that b16's and b18c's etc all have shot peened rods from the factory??

I had my stock rods shotpeened at Metal Improvement Co. in Brampton. I did it as a precautionary measure since my stock rods are extremely durable anyways. For your needs, I agree with Steve.
