When does Vtec kick in ?
#4
As far as i know, you're not gonna feel a jum in power anyhow. I have a 93 civic si, and it's hard to tell. Unless my Vtec isn't working properly or something.
Remember its a SOHC, and with only one cam working.......
Get a DOHC now, and it sounds sexy as hell.....
Correct me if i'm wrong guys. I'm still learning myself

<----------- Just look under my screen name on the left
With an aftermarket intake on a B series DOHC VTEC motor.....when VTEC hits.....well....ya gotta hear and feel it for yourself. You won't notice it on a SOHC VTEC motor.
Hits at 5600rpm on B16A2. I don't know about the SOHC motors.

on sohc vtecs only the intake side has alternate lobes..because on the exhaust side there is no room. the sparkplugs go in on an angle so its impossable to make room for another rocker and lobe. Its hard to notice a distinct changeover.
