wheels/tires question
Hello,
So I have searched on the forums, I've read and pondered...now I just need some clarity because there are so many opinions out there. Thanks. Right now I have a set of rims but I am in the process of buying new rims. NOW...question here is will my tires (205/40/17) fit on allllll 17 inch rims? Someone said there can be differences...I just need some clarity. Also, I have also purchased a full coilover suspension and will be lowering my car, is between 40 and 42 a good offset when choosing new rims??? Thanks, I just need some clarity is all... |

your tires will fit on most 17" rims
from 6.5" to 7.5" wide for sure, you might be able to squeeze them on to a 6" wide rim most 17s that are a 4 bolt pattern will be 17x7 anyways though |
Thanks For the link DoubleB and Hdave, you're right I just checked that tire link..I was just worried cause I wanna use the same tires...
I really dont understand that offset calculator though...I just really would like to know what a good offset would be. I guess my issue is rubbing...and Im going to be lowering anywhere from 1.75-2 inch....any helpful suggestions? |
