Wheel Offset Info

I have a 99 Civic SiR, how do I find out what the stock offset is of my wheels.

My car is lowered 2.25" and Im looking at buying a set of 16" wheels with 205/45/16, with offset +35. Will this offset fit on my car?

How can I be sure since its impossible for me to put the tires on before I buy them, PLEASE HELP!

measure the width of the rim, split that measurment in half for true center, then measure from the inside down into the mounting flange and take that measurment if it is on the inside of the closer to the engine it is negative and if it is outside the centerline it is posivtive. It is the differnce between the the mounting flange and true centre either inward or outward. If your rim was 8 inches and you measued in 3 inches then you would have an offset of negative one inch you got it. And if you don't google it.
