I was just wondering if anyone knew what would be a good engine to swap into my 2001 civic coupe my price range is around $3000-$4000 and where could I find one?????? any info would be apreciated

in that price range of yours maybe a K24 if you can find one for cheap, and you prolly could get the K20A3 SiR / base RSX engine. $6500 would get you a Type S K20A2.

JDM Integra K20A with 220hp (most hp for a K)
Frankenstein K24 block with K20A2 head.

but for your budget...

There is a base RSX (K20A3) engine on sale on the 7thgencivic.com site for $3500. Adding to the $3500 you would need misc. parts and labour (if your not doing the swap yourself).

K20R, defcon has receintly built one for one of their employee's the thing flys, it was tearing up the streets on the weekend
