whats everyone say about buying used springs?

lookin at buying a set of used springs off someone from the web. anyone does this before?

the dude is selling a set of eibach sportlines at a pretty good price...and says they have only been used for 2 months. but i have no way of knowing for sure if its legit or not right? i mean, dude could have had them mounted for a year and i have no way of knowing.

also...is there anyway i can verify the model number, to be sure they are the rigth springs for my ride?

cheers for any help

well if the springs are all rusty then you know he's used them for more than 2 months. Ask for any reciepts, boxes, or instructions he may have kickin around for the parts.
I've sold and bought parts from people on the internet before (tcc and ebay mostly) and haven't really had any bad experiences and always try to be upfront when selling parts. Not to say everyone is like this but just remember if something seems fishy then you can always just not buy the parts.

yea...the pics iv seen of them, they look like new. no rust, no marks or even scratches. he doesnt have a receipt, because he says they were sold to him from someone on ebay, who bull****ted about what model they are for, so he's just turning around and selling them off, since they dont fit his ride

the only thing that seems fishy is the price...damn good price, for springs that look almost new.

There will be a product code on the springs....check it with eibach if you are worried about fitment.

rust will weaken the spring... lower spring rate... lower drop... eventually they will snap
