What's better engine conversion?
Hey guys
What's the better engine conversion B18B with GSR head or B20B with GSR head? I've got a 6th gen civic. Will I be able to drop the B20b combination in directly or will I need a kit. I was thinking of going with Y80 tranny. Provided I can find one fairly cheap. Also will B20B tranny fit? Which driveshafts should I use?
Any help would be appreciated.

Well.. with the larger displacement comes the higher price... The B18B will be the less expensive one, but the B20B seems to be the block of choice.
The Y80 isn't bad.. Actually any B series hydro tranny would be good.. if you can even get ahold of one. One thing for sure if the B20B tranny won't work cause they're 4wd trannies..
The B20B will drop right into your car provided you have all the mounts... You'll need 99 SiR mounts and you'll be set. The axles will be the same as any B series swap into your car.
Hope this helps.

Also consider a B20 with a B16A or B17A head. These are usually easier and cheaper to find than the B18C1 head and if you're planning to swap the internals and do head work anyways then why pay more for stuff you're just gonna get rid of?
SiR drive shafts or Teg drive shafts will work fine.
Have you thought about what ECU you'll be using? My buddy's got a P28 with a mugen chip if you're interested.
