Morning guys, I just picked up a car for my wife. It's a 1996 ACURA INTEGRA SPECIAL EDITION 2 door hatch. Im not sure where to find out what engine it has but here is a picture of it



To me it looks like it might be a B18B? Car was made in Japan. Same size as my Civic but very little room in the back.

yepp b18b, my friend has exact same model/year, i think all integras were made in japan and shipped here no?

Check the vin, that motor looks like its been replaced.

i agree, the painted number on the valve cover looks like it came from a wrecker somewhere.

checked the code, i think that motor is from a crv b20b

b20 and ls engines are virtually the same. they actually both use the same p75 head..with some exceptions. just check the code

think only the b20 has that cover.

the 2g b18's look like the b20's. Only the 1st gens have that weird valve cover ( i think)

check the stamp beside the vin tag on the transmission
