JDM brand:
JUN, Spoon, Maxim Works, Mugen, J's Racing, Backyard Special, JDM ITR 4-1

USDM custom:
DTR, Rage, RMF, Hytech

Prefab:
DC, Megan, OBX

I personally like 4-2-1 with 2.5" collector. Any of these brands will be fine provided they are within your budget, be it new or used.

the RAGE is really good, but it all depends if your engine is built or stock as for as what gains you will see. i have herd that there arnt too many headers that can touch the megan for the price, i know alot of ppl love the vibrant j-spec 421 2.5" collector

what do you want to do with your engine???

if a built head are in yoru future then get a good header ir

rage smsp

if you going for bolt ons then just get a jdm itr 1.5 collector or vibrant or similar meagon garbage header that will be fine for stock cams and block b16

from my experience DC is crap, i'm currently using the vibrant j-spec 4-2-1 and think for the price ($400 new, is what i paid) its a great header.

Yeah most likly what im gona end up doing is going with the megan or the j-spec. I know that the Rage header is very good but for the price i can do so many other things. Right know the motor is stock expect for intake...lol. After the header im going with a 2.5' highflow cat and 2.5 all the way back, remove resinator and keep the stock SiR exhaust. I want it to be nice and quiet. After the header and exhaust stuff is cleared up most likly im gona get skunk2 camshafts, gears and pistons. Hopefully after boost but very low psi. Nothing over 8.

It all depends what you want out of your motor.

If you say plan to build it more in the future, leave it or boost it etc....

I would recommend the rage header, its what I picked up. The links someone listed above shows how well it works for its price.

But if your serious, and are looking to get the most HP out of it I would go for an SMSP or RMF, but there $$$$$$.

But it all goes back to the old saying "You get what you pay for"

decent header, its the ground clearance thats the *****..sits wayyy to low to the ground..megan 4-1 2.5" would be the best bang for the buck, if your looking for more optimized headers, check out rage or hytech..

again with the megan headers, if your going to buy a header buy a good one once instead of slapping on a POS **** header and not being happpy and having to go back and buy another one and spend double the money.

Anyways zeeman hows your vibrant header holding up is it discoloring at all?
