what rear strut bar to buy?

well i've completed in piecing together my black interior and i don't want to cut out the rears again to install my type R strut bar. which strut bar can i buy that doesn't need me cutting into it? i think cusco makes one that doesn't require any cutting but anything else out there? i don't want to spend loads of money just for these bars.

i think the only way you'd find one that is cheap would be to spend loads of money... i don't think they make generic ones like that, cuz they have to be engineered better because they're not the ideal shape for the bar if they bend back weird...

don't they go behind the seats anyways?

yeah but it looks cleaner with just the covers off instead of hacking it up. i had to cut maybe 2 inches down where the plastic piece that covers the shock tower.

I don't think Civics come with pre-cut or removeable square panels for strut tower bars, like the Integras do. Just have to cut a better shape.

just cut it cleanly and maybe put some rubber stripping along the edge to clean up the look... it'll look stock and people will wonder how it got that way lol

the other option is to just strip out the interior panels in the back and just run w/o panels. also your post leads me to think you have spare (perhaps blue) panels that are already cut. if you want, you can just take those and paint them black with krylon fusion, that way you have your black interior, without the guilt of cutting up original black panels.
