I have just put in a d15b vtec-e engine and it has this werid looking thing on it iam not sure where it is sopose to go or what it does?? It sits on the intake mainfold

Fuel pressure regulator is my guess... Isn't that a fuel line that comes into the back side? (the rubber hose that ends in metal)

Nope i no its not that i hav enever ever seen this part b4 all it has on it is a plug and that hose thats all but i no its nothing to do with the fuel system if i could guess it would be somthing to do with the emissons in Japan

Have you traced the hose back to were it goes as well as any vacuum lines?

It's Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve
Yep, it's for emissions.

They only use it on the jdm engines for civic till 01.
