dude, i was in the same boat as you. I had coilovers on stock struts and my struts were blown. I was just going to get some good struts but really thought about it and decided to get some lowering springs and struts. Well, i got the tokico advance handling kit, which was a 1.7 inch drop spring with Illumina's. This kit was like $800.
I have never regreted buying this kit. Its WAY better than cheap coilovers, and i figured, since it was a spring that was designed to be used with that strut, it would be a pretty good pair....well i was right. Its amazing handling with a slightly stiffer than stock ride quality....but then again i have the illumina's on the 2nd stiffist setting, but its still a good ride even on bumpy city streets.
Or you could buy some TEIN full coilovers. The OMNI full coilover john lo, i think, is selling look sweet and they are a pretty good price.
IMO tokico is
Moral of the story....don't cheap out when it comes to suspension.
