What kind of shocks should i use?

Well i'm gonna be getting those $100 coilovers from automotive warehouse on the weekend, and i'm wondering what kind of shocks i should use for a 3" or 4" drop. some people have been telling me to go with koni yellows, others have been telling me to go with koni reds. i'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to suspension, so any help is appreciated. thanks

first off I want to punch you in the face for wanting a 3-4 inch drop second those are garbage coils and third yellows are best but reds are ok for a budget and a drop that isnt' to low and spring rate that isnt' to rediculous.

wont' be the best suspended car out there but it's doable, 2 inch is alittle more realistic

don't sweat it... it's just the dingus way knowledgable bastard tho

3-4 inch drop would result in massive frame damge as your upper front control arm hammers away at that ridge you will find on your shock tower where the two halves join.

some homos cut that part of the frame and hammer it flat with a sledgehammer. this is called "how to destroy a car"

as for your ?, you will find that being able to DRIVE your car will far outweigh how it LOOKS. Cuz really when do you sit there and look at your car? And how often do you drive it?? Therefore, driveablity>>>looks. This is why about a 2 inch drop and Koni Yellows are the way to go... or even Tokico Illuminas, cuz they are such a great buy right now. Reds get my vote too. Same Koni quality and reliability as the Yellows, but cheaper and not as adjustable.

as I stated before a 3 inch drop with skunk 2's (high spring rate) woudl be to much for the reds I mean they are cheaper for a reason, they are meant for someone who wants a good shock but isn't runnign super low with a high spring rate that's not what a red is meant for.
