stock ecu chipped = rice boy garbage...stock ecu with vafc will get you fare better results.

vafc are crap, a chip for stock motor mapping or hondata for tuning are way better

EDIT: forgot to say uberdata is getting pretty popular and a lot of people love it, but i have never tried it

well if he ever replied to his thread (which he was online) and stated which civic he's got it would be easier to give him one answer not a few, providing more info would be great. All we know it's a 92 - 95 EH or EJ with a B18C4.

anyway you will have one of the following:

CX = P05, DX/LX = P06, VX = P07, SI = P28

now if you got a p28 just get it chipped with the stock GSR mapping, if it's a P06 convert it to a P28 or buy one, P05 and P07 not sure if you can convert them but don't see why they can't be.

why not run an obd1 gsr ecu? p72 i believe.
Like mentioned above getting a generic chip (mugen, spoon, skunk) which are also usually a copy of the program not the real thing, is a bad idea. Getting a custom chip burned with uberdata, chrome, hondata or whatever is a much better idea. BUT much more expensive b/c you have to pay for dyno/wideband o2 time per hour, and pay someone to tune it.....but well worth the results.
But since you just have I/H/E i would say that tuning isn't really necessary and that you would prolly see only minimal gains. Now if you up the compression or get some cams, tuning would be necessary.

i'm not saying to get a spoon, skunk2 mugen chip, wasted of gas imo, he will be using a STOCK GSR MAP

he might even have one if its an SI so why go buy a P72? and even if it's a P06 it's still cheaper to convert and chip them trying to find a OBDI P72 which come with a nice tag so

you can mod a P28 to run the P72 program and run the IABs, or you can swap your manifold out and run a straight P28 chipped for GSR.

PM me if you need your ECU chipped/modded.

stock ecu with vafc to tune would be best out of those option...chipped with a random program is a waste.

i agree with dingus about the stock ecu or stock program on a chipped p28. Option B and C are basically the same thing, C just involves removing the secondary butterflies (which in my opinion isn't necessary). Performance chips just dump lots of fuel and advance the ignition timing a bunch.
Honestly i don't think the money spent on tuning with a vafc would be worth it. I would personally run the p72 but if you already have a chipped p28 just get someone to burn the stock p72 .bin file on your chip.

The best thing to do in this situation is go find the ECU designed to run with that motor or have someone burn you the original honda map for that engine and have them install it in your ecu or a chipable ecu that will work in that car.

It can if the ECU is modded to run IABs.
I can mod the ecu to run IABs if you want.
