Air Boost Valve (Starting Valve), It just gives more air when youre cranking the engine during startup, so you don't need to touch the gas pedal to open the butterfly up to let more air in.

honda put it there for a reason... unless you have an engineering degree and decide that honda doesn't know **** ... I'd leave it alone....

then again I enjoy a nice stock car for a reason. I trust them big brains at honda

alot of jdm importers are pulling these motors out of the integra xsi, which ALOT of them are automatic, then they are re-mating them with a bseries tranny.....

have you raced any other b16a?, because if it is an auto, then the cams are def, less HP, compared to the manual counterparts.

look at colvins first ZC or the current one in his ef, its an automatic, jdm importers are running out of the old shcool motors for our cars, and we are getting stuck with the automatic motors.
the ZC I ordered also is a auto, so I am going to be busy swapping over cams/intake manifold..

yeah, it think it will be coming out, i've already had it off and it makes no difference to how the car runs. I know that honda put it there for a reason but, i don't need the undue complexity

honda's brains are smart but for street cars they design them for fuel economy in place of raw hp... i put a small resistor in place of a sensor on the car and got a noticeably better revving motor

Rick aren't you talking about the idle air control valve from that ebay based thread of a few weeks ago?
