what does
a stock h22 with slipping clutch and bald tires do in a ciivc?
168.2 hp @ 6750 rpm 146.5 ft*lbs @ 5250 rpm 13.7 @ 103 mph :checkered |
that's all the rust making yoru car weight less, man I thought that cablerat's h22 setup was perfect mechanically as he always said...slipping clutch eh..?
you bought his civic did you not..either way respectable times  |
only really slips above like 6000... aside from the clutch it is mechanically perfect... if i didn't have bald 185 width all seasons i'm told it would be in the low 13's
sorry I see your trap now..?...low 13's...maybe 13.3-4 maybe 13.2 once your get it dialed completely and have a slick
you have no idea how much tire spin occured lol
13.7 on stock clutch and tiny tires is not bad.
Your lucky the clutch was slipping or you'd have a broken shaft most likely. I'm suprized that chip produced pretty good power. That car is serious potential.. Dingus, it's a stock aftermarket clutch with over 40K on it of good **** kicking.. The swap itself is perfect. and yep, it was mine.. |
not too shabby rick
****, thats good!
ahh memories...
Just be careful, don't forget the rest of the car is still 13 years old. |

u actually put the h22 in?
well i was going to do the swap anyways then cablerat was selling his car... so i'd rather dick around with body work then install that engine :)
Did you actually do a 1/4 mile or is this just the calculations based on weight and power that were done at Auto Acessory Zone?...........lol
they can set it up to make a 1/4 mile run on the dyno... accurate to 1/10 sec which is good enough for me
Its that acurate?........Damn...I live close to the shop. I should try it out. How long does it take to hook your car up and make the run?...and don't they give you two runs? And do they have a Tree so they can measure reaction time and what not?
ummm i got like 4-5 dyno pulls then 2 1/4 mile runs... maybe 30 mins per car... the power numbers are all weight corrected or something.... they said if i ran my car on a dynojet the numbers would be higher... closer to 180-185 hp... but its more realistic numbers above...
take it to a real strip....those numbers mean nothign to me if it was done on the dyno...real strip you probobly woudl have trouble breaking into the high 13's...so many more things when it's a real track...sureface, track temp, wind, humidity...these numbers mean nothing...shouldn't a h22 with i/h/e tuned be more like 180-190 whp...?

This car was never tuned, I ran a custom made program I got from a guy in like Nova Scotia or something.. Ran the car the best compared to any other programs I found.. Car needs a wide-band and tuning to get up there.. |
wow very strong motor
