im about to buy a motor off some guy i know... i know the motor is legit and all, but what do i need so the cops wont give me ****??? in other words, when u guys say do u have papers what is it u exactly mean?

documentation.....either reciepts if the motor was purchased from a scrap yard or a document where both you and seller sign indicating whats being sold.

get a copy of the ownership of the car that the motor came from, and have the owner sign the copy of the ownerthip stating he sold you the motor out of that car.

or like James said, reciepts of where it was purchased or whatever.

just get a bill ov sale with the engine serial number on it and ytour good !!! maybe the owner needs the ownership to sell/scrap the frame

you only need papers if the motor came out of a car in this country.

if its a JDM motor, there are no papers.
