the weirdest thing happend

i was crusing and i went from 2nd to 3rd and it was jus stuck in 2nd. i put it up to 1st gear and its still in 2nd. when its in the neautral position its still in gear

if u have an idea or know wat is wrong please let me know,


its a 2000 sir

lets hope its something with your shift linkage and not internal transmision damage. could be the shift linkage pin.

when your car is off, and you shift, do you hear noise coming from your transmision? if you dont, its something with your shift linkage

yeah, id guess its something to do with the shift linkage, take out your shift linkage or take a look at it from underneith, could be a bad bushing in the linkage

has anything been done on the car recently, like a short shifter or clutch or something?

Sounds like Linkage is disconnected somewhere.. does the shifter feel really loose when you move it around?

I think the internals are fuct somewhere... if it was linkage, it would be dragging on the ground

yeah i guess eh.. didn't think about that..

Maybe is broke @ the shifter.. isn't one of the rods welded to the other? But then again, if one broke he would still be able to find another gear.

maybe the bitch pin came off where the linkage attaches to the tranny
