Weird steering noise at startup
Hello all,
When I start the car in the morning and begin to pull out of the driveway, the second I turn the wheel something under the hood is making a weird crying noise almost lol, it's hard to explain. Something like when you have air in a balloon and you release the air slowly, theres that loud noise.
It does this when im turning out of the driveway and then when I turn the wheel around towards the road and it then goes away when i'm driving on a straight line. It only does it when I start the car and turn the wheel.
What do you guys think this is? I'm thinking a power steering pump...any other opinions? Can something else cause this related to the power steering system?
Thanks

did you check your power steering fluid level? if it's low the rack isn't getting enough lube and will make that noise. if it's low then check your pump, lines and the rack to see if there are any leaks.
